This pillow with a snowman appliqué is the perfect way to add a touch of Christmas to your home. Whether it is on a chair, couch, or bed this snowman pillow will look great anywhere. I am absolutely obsessed with the extra details of the heart and scarf that I added to my snowman. I loved making this craft while looking out at the winter weather with my cup of hot chocolate.

THIS SNOWMAN PILLOW IS PERFECT FOR THE WINTER MONTHS! HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE IT:
- small scraps of red, cream, green, and blue cotton fabric
- fiber fill or stuffing
- basic sewing supplies
Christmas Snowman Pillow – Step 1
To start your snowman pillow you are going to cut out two 6″ X 9″ pieces of blue calico fabric, one 4 1/2″ X 6″ of fur felt or warm and natural, a green scarf that measures 1″ X 18″, a little nose cut out of orange fabric, and a little heart about 1 1/2″ cut out of red fabric. Then fold the fur felt in half long ways, and draw 1/2 of a snowman as shown in the photo. Cut through the two layers, then open it up on the fold and you will have a snowman.Once you have cut out your snowman pin your fur snowman to the PRETTY side of ONE of your pillow pieces as shown in the photo above.
Christmas Snowman Pillow – Step 2
After pinning you are going to zig-zag stitch around the entirety of your snowman.
Christmas Snowman Pillow – Step 3
Now you are going to add on your snowman’s nose, scarf, and heart. Zig-zag stitch around all of the features. Making sure to leave the end of the scarf to hang. For your snowman’s eyes you can either use black embroidery thread and do two french knots or hot glue cloves.
Christmas Snowman Pillow – Step 4
Next, move the scarf close to the center of the pillow. You do want to stitch it when sewing around your pillow. Place the two pillow pieces pretty sides together and pin around the outside. Leave an opening at the bottom for turning and stuffing. Then, stitch around the edge of your pillow using the pressure foot as your guide. Make sure you leave an opening at the bottom.
Christmas Snowman Pillow – Step 5
To finish up your pillow you are going to trim your seams and clip curves making sure not to cut into your stitching. Then turn your pillow right sides out through the hole you left and stuff it. Lastly hand sew close the hole you left.
You are now finished your snowman pillow and it’s ready for Christmas!
