Bring your holiday spirit to life with this adorable Santa Pillow Ornament. It is the perfect way to add some extra Christmas cheer to your tree this year. Additionally it is the perfect gift topper for your friends and family this holiday season.

THIS SANTA PILLOW ORNAMENT IS PERFECT FOR YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE! HERE IS WHAT I USED TO MAKE IT:

• two 5.5″ squares of red fabric
• ribbon for handle (or use a metal ornament hook)
• one 2″ x 5.5″ strip of white faux fur (or felt if you don’t have fur)
• one silver button
• black ribbon
• basic sewing supplies

Santa Pillow Ornament – Step 1

Start by placing the white fur down the middle of one of the red squares pretty sides up. Pin in place. Stitch down each side of the white fur using a zig-zag stitch.

Next place the ribbon in the center and pin as shown. Stitch the ends only.

Now you are going to hand sew a button in the middle. Sew the button going through the ribbon, fur, and fabric.

You do not need to do this step if you are using a metal hook for hanging, or if you want to make it into a mini pillow and not a tree ornament. Then pin and stitch a piece of ribbon as shown on the front of the pillow. Stitch the ends of the ribbon in place.

Next you are going to place front and back pieces pretty sides together and pin. Mark a 3″ opening on one side by putting double pins. You do not want to sew there because that is where you will turn your pillow pretty side out when you are done stitching it. Stitch around the edge of the pillow using the pressure foot as your guide and pivoting at the corners. (Don’t forget to leave the opening.)

Santa Pillow Ornament – Step 6

Now you are going to trim your seams and clip your corners of your ornament. Make sure not to cut into your stitching. After that turn your Santa pillow pretty side out and carefully poke out the corners. Finally stuff with fiberfill and hand sew the opening closed.

You are now finished your Santa Pillow Ornament and it’s ready to be hung up on your tree!
