Fall Fabric Pumpkin Pillow – Step 1
Start by pinning and cutting out your pumpkin. You can use our free Pumpkin Pattern! To make your life easier fold you fabric in half so that when you cut out the piece on the fold you have four layers but two pumpkin pieces.
Fall Fabric Pumpkin Pillow – Step 2
The next thing you are going to do is put your two pumpkin pieces together pretty side (side you want on the outside) together. Then pin around the entire outside edge. Make sure to leave about a 4″ opening at the top of your pumpkin for later. You are then going to sew around the outside pressure foot edge.
Fall Fabric Pumpkin Pillow – Step 3
Now you are going to turn your pumpkin pretty side out through that hole that you left at the top of your pumpkin. Then stuff it with fiber fill or craft stuffing.
Fall Fabric Pumpkin Pillow – Step 4
Next you are going to glue about 3-5 cinnamon sticks together.
Fall Fabric Pumpkin Pillow – Step 5
Now hand stitch the opening almost closed. Place a dab of hot glue on the bottom of the group of cinnamon sticks and place in the whole at the top of the pumpkin. Finish hand-sewing any area left at the top of the pumpkin.
Fall Fabric Pumpkin Pillow – Step 6
Then using orange embroidery thread go around the pumpkin and tie a knot in the back to hide it. You are going to want to do this to both sides of your pumpkin pillow.
Fall Fabric Pumpkin Pillow – Step 7
Finally you are going to hot glue silk green leaves at the top of the pumpkin and add any other orange flower or leaf if desired.
You are now done your Fall Fabric Pumpkin Pillow! You can now make as many as you would like to decorate your home this autumn.
