How to Make a Striped Christmas Tree Ornament

I love decorating for the holiday season and this Christmas Tree is perfect ornament to add to my collection and yours too! Use a variety of different holiday fabrics to make an adorable striped tree. It will look good hanging anywhere with your Christmas decor!

ADD SOME HOLIDAY CHEER TO ANY CHRISTMAS TREE WITH THIS ORNAMENT! HERE IS WHAT WE USED TO MAKE IT:

Christmas fabric scraps
cream, white or tan felt
brown felt
twine
star button
quilt batting
basic sewing supplies

Christmas Tree Ornament – Step 1

Start by cutting five 1 inch by 5 inch strips and arranging them in the order you want your strips to be.

Christmas Tree Ornament – Step 2

Next you are going to pin your top two strips pretty sides together and sew them using the pressure foot as a guide.

Christmas Tree Ornament – Step 3

Now you are going to pin your second and third strips pretty sides together and sew them at the pressure foot edge.

Christmas Tree Ornament – Step 4

Finish sewing all your rows together just like the previous ones. After that trim your seams and press them nice and flat.

Then you are going to cut out a Christmas tree from your strips. You can make your own or feel free to use our free Christmas Tree Ornament Pattern!

Christmas Tree Ornament – Step 6

Cut a 1 inch by 1 inch square from brown felt and sew it pretty sides together to the middle bottom of your tree.

Christmas Tree Ornament – Step 7

Next cut out a triangle from quilt batting. After that put your layer together in the following order cream felt, quilt batting, and your Christmas Tree. Then sew all the way around the edge of your tree through all the layers.
