Add charm to your home decorating this Valentine’s day with this easy to sew Red & White Heart pillow. This heart pillow is different from traditional one being that it is split and lets you use two different Valentine fabrics.

YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH THIS SPLIT HEART PILLOW! HERE IS WHAT WE USED TO MAKE IT:
- scraps of red and white Valentine’s Day fabric
- fiberfill or craft stuffing
- basic sewing supplies

Split Heart Pillow – Step 1
Start by cutting out your heart pattern you can make your own or you can use our free split heart pillow pattern. Cut down the line splitting the heart pattern pieces.
Split Heart Pillow – Step 2
Next using your two heart pattern pieces pin and cut out one of each pattern piece to your two different fabrics.
Split Heart Pillow – Step 3
Then pin the top and bottom heart pieces PRETTY SIDES TOGETHER at center seam. Stitch seam using the pressure foot as your guide.
Split Heart Pillow – Step 4
Now press your fabric heart piece nice and flat. Use the heart you just created as a pattern for the back of the heart. Pin and cut out one heart.
Split Heart Pillow – Step 5
Place front and back of heart pieces PRETTY SIDES TOGETHER. Pin in place. Using double pins as shown in the photo leave a 4″ opening. Stitch around outer edge of heart.
Split Heart Pillow – Step 6
Turn heart pretty side out and gently poke the point of heart area. Stuff heart with fiberfill stuffing.
Split Heart Pillow – Step 7
Finally hand sew the opening closed.
Your red & white Valentine heart pillow is now finished and ready to be displayed wherever!
